St. Luke's Clinic – Psychiatric Wellness Services: Boise

Our care team is made up of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and mental health therapists that are trained to provide compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health care services.

We provide a full spectrum of psychiatric services to adults with varying diagnoses, including but not limited to: depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychosis, dual diagnosis, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Currently St. Luke’s does not offer dedicated substance use treatment, so we may refer you to community resources that specialize in this kind of treatment.

We offer short-term, solution-focused treatment. You can count on our team of experienced psychiatric and behavioral health specialists to support you with compassion, knowledge, and understanding.

    Biography

    Carl A. Astbury, DO, treats adults, specializing in a wide range of psychiatric issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood/psychotic disorders. He also participates in collaborative care within primary care offices at St. Luke's. He has special interest in aerospace psychiatry.

    Biography

    Jeffrey A. Betts, MA, LCPC, LMFT serves the needs of individuals, couples, and families. He approaches therapy as a collaborative process with the hope that his patients will return to previous levels of functioning and well-being, using outcome measures to ensure progress toward goals is made. Jeff works to understand his patients' goals and preferences, to make sure they understand every aspect of therapy, and encourages feedback about the process.

    He is licensed in Idaho as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a clinical professional counselor (LCPC). He has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs, and is experienced working with individuals, couples, and men's health issues.

    Jeff earned his master's degree in marriage and family therapy from Azusa Pacific University. He is a clinical member of the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA), and is a former president of the Idaho chapter of ATSA.

    Biography

    Alana Brunner, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC provides assessment and therapy for individuals dealing with situation stress, relationship issues, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use. She has experience providing clinical services for patients of all ages, and has worked in private practice, inpatient psychiatric, and emergency department settings.

    Alana is an adjunct professor in the Counselor Education Department at Boise State University. She teaches courses on depression, ethics and legal issues in counseling, and culturally aware counseling. She frequently speaks to groups regarding ethical issues, including boundaries in the therapeutic setting and cultural competence.

    Alana earned her master's degree in counseling from Boise State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association.

    Biography

    Patricia Davis, LCSW provides assessment and therapy for individuals, couples, and families struggling with mood disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss, and work-related problems. She has training in substance abuse disorders, and has experience working in community and psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health centers, community agencies, and employee assistance programs.

    Pat earned her master's degree in social work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

    Biography

    Nicole Fox, MD is board certified in psychiatry and lifestyle medicine and holds a master’s degree in public administration. She is an associate system medical director for behavioral health and is accountable for mental health care services from the Treasure Valley to McCall. Her clinical work is in hospital-based consults psychiatry, a system asset she designed and built as a founding member of the BH service line. She has special interests in resident education, the intersection of physical and mental illness, maternal mental health, lifestyle medicine, and designing innovative systems of care delivery. 

    Dr. Fox speaks frequently and is a nationally recognized as an educator. Most recently she received the Irma Bland award for Excellence in Teaching Residents from the American Psychiatric Association. In 2021, she was named the Clinical Faculty of the Year by the psychiatry residency program. During residency she also received the Outstanding Teacher Scholar of the Year Award.  

    When not seeing patients or training residents, she is involved in community advocacy work for mental health. She is a leader of the Idaho Psychiatric Association, served as clinical chair of the Governor’s Advisory Board to the Behavioral Health Council, and represents Idaho in the National Judges and Psychiatrist’s Leadership Institute focused on the intersection of mental health and the social justice system.  

    Dr. Fox loves living in the mountain west with her family and dogs.

    Biography

    Yvette Jackson, LCSW provides strength-based approaches with an emphasis on attachment. She assesses and treats patients struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and military-related issues.

    In addition, Yvette is experienced with cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practice, moral reconation therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and existentialism.

    Yvette earned her master's degree in social work from Boise State University and has provided clinical services in outpatient mental health and substance abuse programs.

    Biography

    Matt Lindley, LCSW has worked as a social worker in various settings, including public schools, correctional facilities, inpatient hospitals, and most recently St. Luke's emergency department. Matt's clinical practice draws heavily on behavioral, existential, and positive psychology techniques with an emphasis on helping his clients find meaning in their lives. He previously served as an officer in the Idaho Society of Clinical Social Work.

    Matt earned his master's degree at Northwest Nazarene University in social work where he also serves as an adjunct professor in the graduate department. When Matt isn't working he enjoys outdoor recreation with friends and family in the Idaho wilderness.

    Biography

    Tyler Lobb, MA, LCPC, NCC provides psychotherapy for individuals experiencing mood disorders, substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, relationship complications, personality disorders, and life stressors. Tyler is an Idaho licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC).

    Tyler has worked in clinical psychiatric outpatient settings and community rehabilitation. He provides clinical services with a variety of patients ranging from adolescence to later life. Tyler is EMDR-trained and provides cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based strategies.

    Tyler earned his master’s degree in counseling and addiction from Boise State University. He is a member of Idaho Mental Health Counselors association and American Counseling Association.

    Biography

    Wayne Nubile, LCPC believes in a strength-based and person-centered approach to providing respectful, compassionate and goal oriented mental health treatment. He provides assessment and therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, addictions problems, grief and loss, and adjustment disorders. He uses an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities based on individual needs that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused (brief) therapy (SFBT) and Rogerian therapeutic techniques. 

    Wayne has experience working with individuals with various ethnicities, belief systems and marginalized populations, and has provided mental health treatment in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment and correctional facilities. 

    Wayne earned his master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis on addiction studies from Boise State University.

    Biography

    Leah Reagan, LCPC provides assessment and treatment for individuals dealing with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, ADHD, and relationship issues. She also works with individuals on the autistic spectrum. 

    Leah earned her master's degree in counseling from Boise State University after completing an intensive internship at Warm Springs Counseling Center. Leah has over 20 years of experience, and has worked in both clinical settings and in private practice.
